100 Day
Tonight we celebrate and are rejoicing that Emma made the decision to be a Christian. She asked Sean several times throughout the evening if she could pray with him. Once most of the troops were in bed, we sat down with her and she prayed to God, asking Him to forgive her of her sins and to live in her heart. We are excited and can't wait to see what the Lord has for her life. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your free gift of salvation and for sending your son to die so that we may have eternal life. Amen.
On a lighter note, today was 100 day at school and so here is our proof....

Today Evan also decided that he was going to crawl.....backwards!! He just got more mad, the farther away he got from me. I'm thinking we are going to have to get out the play yard very soon!

Well, I'm going to bed...it's been a long day. Good night everyone!

Can You Say Cheap?
I ran to Payless while the girls were at twirling lessons tonight and bought all this stuff for $5.05!! Woo-hoo!! That's 2 1/2 lbs. of beef, people! Yay!

I also wanted to say "Go Colts"!

I won this hat last night at a really fun party! I took this picture myself, because sometimes you just have to do things just for fun!

I took this cookie to the party. I think this is the 5th snowman I've made since New Years. I think I'm ready to bury the pan for at least a year. I'm pretty sure I got my $4.50 out of it this year alone!

Ha! Well, this snowman is staying on it's head for tonight, anyway. I need some sleep before busy, crazy, Tuesday gets here! Hopefully Emma won't wake up tonight at 3:30 a.m with another scary dream...poor thing. There must have been way too much screaming at that party last night! Have a good night, everyone!

Money Making Deals!
I went to K-Mart today and bought these 8 Glade candles, 1 bottle of Soft-Scrub, and a pair of running pants for Justin.....total bill....$8.20.....retail over $32.00!! I am going to purchase 2 boxes of Ziplock baggies, send in the rebates that equal $15 and still make money on this deal! My guess is that I will make at least $4 on this deal...so I really got everything above for free and am walking away with extra money in my pocket. Sweet!

I made some money shopping at Walmart today too!! I bought these two Oil of Olay products for $11.94, used two $3 off coupons, so that took it down to $5.94 and the $15 rebate is in the mail. When this is all said and done, I will make $9.06 off this deal.....oh yeah!

If you want to know more about how to get these deals, check out www.hip2save.com

Tonight we ate dinner at Chick-Fil-A. My entire family (6 eaters and 1 baby) were all fed on the house at our local Lafayette Chick-Fil-A, along with what seemed like a million other families! The girls wanted kids meals, but the boys wanted adult meals, and that's what they got! They also gave out free ice-cream and while we were eating, a manager came by and gave us six coupons for free breakfast food! We only had to wait 30 minutes from the time we entered the door until we were eating…not bad for a $30.00 plus, free dinner! Support Chick-Fil-A! They are awesome!

Don't worry Poppy....mommy didn't let me drink pop, she just wanted a picture!!

Caleb, Purdue Bells, Chuck E Cheese, and Old Navy
This week I received a phone call from the librarian at the kids' school. She wanted to let me know that Caleb has "blown the top off the AR program" and she was going to reward him for reaching 400 points! WOW!! She wanted to make sure it was OK for Caleb to eat lunch with her in the library. She also wanted me to know that usually kids don't reach 400 points, and if they do, it is later in the year. She said there are really no other prizes because no one has ever gone over 400 points, so she would probably just have him eat with her each time he reaches the next 100 points. This really blew me away...how thankful we are to have a son who loves to read at this level!! I believe we may need to make a donation to the school to help fund the AR program (smile).
After I picked the girls up from class, we went to the library to take a picture of Caleb enjoying his lunch with the librarian. He was very happy because he got to choose the menu....his favorite...pizza ( and it was from Buck Creek Pizza, to boot)!
When I asked him how many points he thought he would get by the end of the year, I suggested 650 and he said, "No way mom...I'm going for 800!!" I guess we will see! We are way proud of this guy!

Friday night we had the Bells over for chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, and chocolate cake...YUM! I just love these students and it is a joy to have them in our home throughout the school year.

Tonight we took the kids to Chuck E Cheese....we had not been since April....HELLO.....so, off we went. Evan really enjoyed riding with Chuck E, for the first time. He stood up and played with the wheel while he danced around. Fun memories!

Earlier today, I ran to the mall to see if I could find any good deals...and I did!! I got $715 of clothes for $130 at Old Navy...including these black capri pants for about 68 cents!! Yep...50% of the lowest sticker, plus another 10% off with a coupon I had....can you say "cool deal!"

I also got Evan these two sweaters for under $3 for both and lots of other items for everyone in the house! I think I bought something like 50 things, so the average price for each item runs around $2.25. I got hoodie sweatshirts, jeans for the girls, pants for Evan, nice shorts for all the big kids, socks for Evan...the list goes on and on....oh, and flip-flops for me!

I also stopped in at Gordman's and got a winter coat for Evan to use next year....London Fog for $6!!! Whew! The last few days have been a whirlwind, but what a fun time it has been! Ta, ta for now!

Target Deals!
Today I needed to get a gift for Justin's friend, so I went to Target.....since that's the place I have a gift card that needs to be used. I also wanted to get some 4 pack yogurt for 50 cents. Anyway, I picked up my yogurt and headed to the toys and found a great surprise......75% off as of today! Here are the toys I purchased..... the first two are for Evan's birthday from my mom & dad, and us. I also got the gift I went to Target for in the first place, and many others for birthday gifts. I have five kids, and five kids get invited to a lot of parties!! I also snagged a few Christmas items as well....great bargain day!!

I spent something like $85 (before my $25 gift card)for all these toys and 5 packs of yogurt!! Evan's two toys alone retail for $90!! Check out your local Target....maybe you can find a good deal too!

Yippee!! $1.77!!!
Today I did a little bargain shopping and boy, did I find some great deals! Let's start with the best deal of the morning. I went to Toys R Us to use two $5 coupons I had stashed back in my coupon bag. I occasionally get these coupons since we have a Toys R Us Mastercard. We don't use the card, only to get these nifty coupons and then we charge what we buy with the coupons only to pay it off when it comes. Anyway, I had two $5 coupons. I wasn't sure what I was going to get, but with a baby in the house, I thought maybe diapers or food, eating utensils....something along that line. When I walked into the store, I spotted the clearance aisle of Christmas stuff....90%....."Wow", I thought...."Maybe I will find a good deal!". Did I ever find a good deal....All the wrapping paper was 90% off, so I got 85 sq. ft. rolls for something like 40 cents a roll! I also found ornaments for 30 cents. Yay.....now, what do I put with it? I walked around the corner and spotted Evan's favorite food these days....Gerber Puffs. It was an assorted 3 pack for $5....BINGO!
After all was said and done, I only paid $1.77 for all this stuff...

10 rolls of paper, 6 ornaments, 1 giant Christmas bag, 3 bottles of Gerber Puffs, and a very happy shopper!!
I also went to Meijer and got these items for FREE!!

My last stop was Walgreens...after the $10.00 rebate, every bottle of lotion and face cleanser will only be $2 a bottle...not too shabby for $8 a bottle lotion!!

Well, that is all the Savvyness I can share with you today. I need to go fill out my rebate and pay the bills!

Random Fun
Last night we had some friends over for dinner and we had a blast! We ate tacos for dinner with lots of yummy desserts and had fun playing with the kids. We were brave and took a picture of all the kids together. I have to say that it wasn't nearly as painful as I thought it would be. Aren't they a cute bunch??

Evan is growing fast these days! His new fun thing to do is play in his little house...

He also loves peeking out from his quilt that a dear friend made for Justin when he was a baby. Sean took this picture this morning. Peek-a-boo!

Other than that, we are having a pretty lazy Saturday.....YES!
