Christmas Day 2009

Christmas morning at our house....everyone with their presents...

Finding out what is inside is always the best part!

Me and my sisters...

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! We had a lot of fun and are now ready to bring in the new year with friends.....slumber parties are always the best!! Happy 2010!!

Sanity Milestone for All Mommies

I am happy to announce that Evan can now get a Cheerio from his high chair tray to his mouth. He can also, after several attempts, eat a Cheerio without gagging!! Victory for this mommy who could use an extra activity to keep baby happy during dinnertime prep! When they recognize this box, it's a sweet thing!

Merry Christmas Everybody

Well, it is Christmas Eve and I think all the kids are in bed asleep. I am going to make the cinnamon rolls for in the morning and then Sean and I will do the big "haul-in" before we fall into bed. We threatenend everyone and told them they could not get out of their beds until at least 8:00 a.m......we'll see how that goes! From our family to yours....Merry Christmas!

Baking, Baking, Baking

So this year, I was having a hard time getting in the MOOD to do my baking. I think it's because I have run non-stop for so long, and I just wanted to sit and not make any more of a mess than what is required to get through a day with five kids!!

Anyway, I decided to crank up the Christmas music this afternoon, and away I went....to the kitchen....to do some baking. The girls also showed up about half way through and washed dishes for me. Yay for that, even though a few things still had peanut butter on them (smile). Hey, I'm going to enjoy that they enjoyed washing my dishes while I can!

Here is what came out of the Beimfohr kitchen today...

These are pineapple pecan bars made with pecans that my aunt brings me each year from Alabama....I did sneak a bit tonight and I think they are pretty good...new recipe...

Rocky road brownies...with M&MS...

Rice Krispie Treats...

Oatmeal cookies with chocolate, white chocolate, and peanut butter chips...

Sugar Cookie...

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies...

and Flipsides dipped in choc...

Now I just have to decide where and when to eat all this stuff! I think we will have plenty to share! I want to leave you with this picture of Caleb and Evan. Caeb wanted to feed Evan his cereal yesterday morning so I let him and he actually did a pretty decent job. Here is the picture to help us remember this event...too cute...or maybe, too scary!!

Evan's Special Stocking

Today we got Evan's stocking from Aunt Serena in the mail. It went up with the other stockings (which she has made) immediately!! I just had to post a picture of his stocking with ours...they are simply beautiful. Thanks Aunt Serena!!

Happy Birthday Sean

Today is Sean's birthday and since it is so close to Christmas, we try to give him a really great day. I think his birthday has gotten lost in the shuffle of Christmas most of his life, so just in the last couple of years, I have decided that we were going to totally separate his birthday from Christmas. I'm glad I decided to do it, because we have had a great time. Tonight we went to eat at Logan's Roadhouse, a favorite of everyone in this house.....very affordable and VERY YUMMY!! Our waiter was excellent tonight - he even gave us extra rolls to take home with us....sweet! Here are some fun pictures from our birthday celebration....enjoy!

Evan had fun waving the flag...

And then we headed home to open up gifts and eat the birthday cookie...

Happy birthday to the best daddy and husband ever!! We hope you had a great day! We all love you so much!

Christmas With Friends

Sunday we were able to visit our friends in their new house. We had such a great time with them rejoicing in what the Lord has provided for them! We had fun watching them open presents and playing with some of the new toys. We are so happy for them...God has really been faithful...

Merry Christmas!
