Movies, Anyone?

What a sweet deal....and I mean, literally!! Today I ran into Kmart to pick up some practice softballs for the girls and as I was making my way to the front of the store, I saw the clearance cart. If you know me, you know that it wouldn't be like me to just walk past. So, off I strolled over to "just see" what might be on the cart. Apparently many sweet deals to be had were just waiting for someone to come and snatch them up! Here is what I bought...

16 bags of Hershey's Kisses Meltaways for $9.42!! Now, that is just the beginning. Because I bought them in groups of 4, I received a code for a FREE movie ticket for Ironman 2....Yay....that means I earned 4 FREE movie tickets just for buying the candy!

If that is not sweet, then this is what made the deal even sweeter. Hershey's is having another promotion where you send in 4 UPC for Hershey's Kisses to receive yet another code for another FREE movie ticket to a movie of your choice! Happy Dance!!

I came home and entered the codes online for Ironman 2 and cut the UPC codes off bags and got them ready to mail. We are not a big movie family, but I am so excited that the kids are going to get to do something different. The boys are going to go with Sean to see Ironman 2 and we are all going to see ToyStory 3 when it hits the theaters! Yay for practically FREE fun! Of course, I had to foot the bill for 4 stamps, so you have to add that into the cost, but still a great deal!

I'm not sure why all this candy was on clearance since it wasn't Easter specific, but there was a ton! When I was done checking out, the manager went a got some for himself! Lots of happy people at KMart today!

Evonik Easter Egg Hunt, $10, CVS, and Easter Morning

Every year, Sean's employer has an Easter egg hunt for the kids. Well, it's not really and egg hunt, it's more like a "run like crazy until you pick all the stuff out of the grass" hunt. We have made it to every hunt since Justin was Evan's age...so I think this year's hunt was our 12th!! Wow!

Anyway, this year it decided it was going to pour while the event was taking place. They always do the hunt, rain or shine, so we decided we would dry off if we got wet. Let's just say it would be accurate to say we got wet, as well as the item being hunted. It was fun, nonetheless, and at least half of the normal crowd decided to brave the elements.

As you scroll down the pictures, you will see just how much "stuff" the kids collected. And let me tell you, they work at a snail's pace....so they did really well.

Can you tell Emma was excited about the $10 bill she found at Purdue last week?

She decided to give half to Erin...

Of course, I can not do a post without showing you my deal of the weekend at CVS....total out of pocket (after using coupons and ECB) = $2.29!!

And to finish off the post, I leave you with pictures from Easter morning....

Easter Egg Hunt 2010

My family came to our house to Easter this year...well, I guess they come to our house every year now that I think about it! I hope you enjoy the pictures from our Easter Egg Hunt....

Dishes and Ponies

Look what I found at a garage sale this week....

Now, this may not excite you, but I am jumping up and down and even doing a happy dance too! I found all these dishes at a garage sale and they match my current set. The things that is so cool, is that Sean and I just had a discussion about not purchasing any more of my current pattern ($10 a plate, bowl - plus shipping)! We are getting very low on bowls and several of our big plates are chipped. Of course, we got our set for our wedding, and we use them a lot! I guess 14 years of wear and tear would start showing on me too! ;)

I told him that when they were all pretty much broken, I would go buy something cheaper....well, look what I found! I got all of these dishes for $60!! That may sound like a lot, but just two of the bigger pieces would cost me about that much. We got 12 dinner plates and dessert plates, plus several other plates, as well as 12 bowls (yippee!) and several of these pieces that I don't have. I was also able to replace one of my favorite oblong bowls that broke about 6 years ago.

I don't have any of these glasses. There are only 4, but I love them!

I already have a salt and pepper, but this HUGE bowl is new to me. It looks kinda small on the picture, but it is big. I love it!

I also got this little crock... I have one just like it, only smaller...

And I love this baking dish...

But my most favorite piece is this bowl with the wavy edging...

There were also things like a soap dispenser, large meat platter, 12 tall glasses, 8 coffee mugs, and 8 placemats! I just love finding good deals like this! And speaking of good deals...I got all these games for under $16 at Toy's R Us this week (once my rebates come). Can you believe it....Christmas shopping already----but please - don't tell the kids!

And this was my best find of the week....

Got all of these FREE at Toy's R Us! The girls will be so excited when they open these on Christmas!

Have a good weekend everyone! Happy Easter!
