Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today has been a good day!! This morning I woke up to the sound of this....

in my driveway! I could not believe my eyes and was so excited that Larry (our neighbor) came over to plow the drive for me! The kids were on a delay from school, so Sean set the alarms back. I must have been tired cause I just kept on sleeping!

Wow....is all I can say about our neighbors and boy, were are sure going to miss living here! If our house was just a bit bigger, we would not be moving at all, but because the kids are so cramped in their bedrooms, we just felt like we didn't have a choice. I think we may have to come walking in this sub-division this summer just so we can stop and talk to everyone. We are going to miss everyone terribly, even though we are less than two miles away. Sounds silly, but it's the truth. I've had two people in tears with the news that we are leaving and at least three others have put me in tears. God has really blessed us with good neighbors and we will make it a goal to keep in touch with everyone! Thanks again, Larry, for plowing the driveway!

Today is also Sean's birthday! We went to Logan's to celebrate, as it has become a tradition since meals are so cheap there in the evenings! Here are some pics from our dinner...

And yes, Evan thought he needed to eat a lemon. Well, we sure got a kick out of it!

So now it's off to pack a few more boxes and go to bed. I am really tired after packing most of the day and then eating that yummy dinner. Until tomorrow!

Still Packing

So today I am still packing, but I'm sure that doesn't surprise you much! After all, there are seven of us to pack up!! On the list today was to pack up all the filing cabinets. We don't have to many of those, so it went quickly!!

I also found this little gem that I used to type all my college papers....yep - not a computer, a word processor!! My how times have changed even in 20 years!

And so this is where I left the basement today. It is almost done as soon as Sean packs up a few more things. I made a lot of progess on the kitchen too.

Well, I need to go and get dinner cause Daddy just walked in the door and we have lots to do tonight! Both programs we attended yesterday were great too, I just didn't have time to get pictures.....

Have a great night!

More Packing

Well today has been just like any normal day around here the last few weeks. I have been packing in between getting kids ready for school, off to school, taking care of Evan, picking up kids from school, fixing dinner, talking to utilities, and doing laundy!! I did make a lot of progress today, but I am so tired and tomorrow is another long day of packing, meeting with the person who is leasing our house, collecting more boxes, oh....and Sean has symphony too!

It will all be fine though. As much work as it has been, I have had fun and I look forward to going through each box on the other end with a fine tooth comb and doing some major reorganizing. I thought I would update you on the garage situation, tomorrow, the closets and attic. Only six more days to get everything in a box and beds torn down....I think we are on target....

And now I will leave you with a picture of the ham eating ice-cream....one of his favorites!

Did I Trick You?

I didn't forget to post today, I just had to wait until all the kiddos went to bed and I paid the bills!! Today I did lots of packing, but didn't have time to take pictures, but I did make sure I got a picture of the girls wearing the sweaters that Aunt Mary gave them for their birthdays. They looked so cute!!

Today we had a two hour delay, so the boys and I shoveled the driveway before school. We had fun and it took less than 30 minutes! YAY! It used to take me 1 1/2 hours to shovel the drive myself so this was a pleasant surprise!

Along the packing lines, I got most of the garage packed (not including Sean's stuff) and was even able to get in the attic and pull down all the tubs! I will revisit the attic tomorrow and Saturday to hopefully finish the project!

We are getting so excited about our move. We have called all the utilities, turned in the change of address, and are down to our final list of things to do.

This weekend I will set aside clothes and essentials for us for the next week and pack everything else up. Stay tuned and I will do my best to keep you informed of what we do each day. Hey....this could get fun!

Have a great night!

I'm Back!!

Hi Folks! I'm so sorry that I have done such a poor job at keeping up with my blog! I'm not sure if I should blame it on my kids, my new i-phone, or the camera....hhmmm.

Anyway, I am going to try REALLY hard to keep posting throughout our move since I told everyone I would in our Christmas Cards! See, I do better with accountablity!

So, to start us off, I thought I would post some pics of what our house looks like right now....at Christmas....with all the boxes.....EVERYWHERE!!

Currently, we are packing every day, wrapping a bit everyday, and checking things off the list! Our move will take place on Dec. 28th and so far, so good, but still lots more packing to do!

Of course, I wouldn't even think to not have a Christmas tree, so those decorations are out and will be packed up on Christmas night. We are getting excited to move into more space, although we will miss our neighbors terribly!

OK, time to get dinner going, so until next time! Pack on!!

Baton 2 Here We Come

So the girls are aspiring silver twins and it looks like they have started their climb up the ladder. They were very excited to be moved from their current class to the next level up....and so is their momma!!

Weekend Away

A few weeks ago, my very special aunt fell and broke her hip. As soon as I found time in my schedule, Sean, Evan, and I took off to see what we could do to help out. The four big kids could not go since they are in school, but we were able to find homes for them to stay in and off we went.

It just so happened to be my birthday on Saturday and since my aunt was doing so well, we went to dinner and did a little grocery shopping...

When we go home from dinner, Sean surprised me with a birthday brownie.....yum!!

Evan also had fun riding on the tractor with Uncle Frank...

If I get a chance later, I will try to post some pictures of some of the things we were able to do for my aunt and uncle. We had a great time and who knows....maybe we will start visiting every fall! Who says we can only go in the summer?!?!

4th Annual Bell Overnight

Last Friday, we had the Purdue Bells over for a cookout and an overnight.....yes, all in our home. We had 13 guests combined with our 7 and that equals 20 pillows!! What a great time we had eating out and playing in the neighbor's yards (with permission, of course)! We played a super awesome game of capture the flag in the Tolbert, Beimfohr, and Baker backyards that was out of this world! Here are some of the pictures from our time together....and these are some of the very reasons I LOVE my job!
