Would You Shop At Walgreens if They Paid You?

Yes...I would!! Here is what I got at Walgreens today....

2 pkgs. of Vanity Fair Napkins .49 cents each
3 Dove Conditioners - FREE - made $4
3 Simply Saline - FREE - made $3
3 Dental Flosses - Free - made $3
2 Dulcolx - FREE - made $8 (OK, so I won't be using this, so if anyone wants it...it's yours)!
3 Walgreens mint drops - .45 cents for 3
5 packs of index cards (per Sean's request) - $1.66 for 5

So, I paid $10.59 out of pocket plus I spent a previous $5 Register Reward.
I left Walgreens with $26 in Register Rewards to be used within the next two weeks!
I made $18 on all these items.

We also went to CVS and spent $19.10 out of pocket plus a $3 Extra Care Buck. This is what we brought home...plus a $5 Extra Care Buck!

2 Jumbo packs of Huggies
2 bottles of Cetaphil face cleanser
2 Cover Girlface powders
1 Cover Girl blusher
1 Cover Girl Eyeshadow
3 bottles of Listerine

Not bad for diapers, mouthwash, nice face cleanser, and make-up!

But my favorite deal of the day was at Meijer...of course....it's my favorite!
This is what I bought for $1.66 out of pocket and a $2 Meijer catalina. I came home with $4 in Meijer Catalina coupons, so I made some money on this transaction too!

Can you say "Easter Candy?!?!"....what about "FREE Easter Candy".... or even better yet..."Money Making Easter Candy!!"

I also was able to pick up some flavorings and food coloring....and after it's all said and done, and I spend the $4 in catalinas....I paid nothing for them! Yay!

I hope you enjoyed this post.....now get yourself to Walgreens to get some FREE stuff! You don't need any coupons...just make sure you spend the RR within two weeks!

Spring Break Fun

Reasons why we love spring break:

A visit from Uncle...

Falling asleep on the couch while watching movies...

Visiting our good friends, the Tate's, and warming their bean bag...

Being able to take some time to recover from what is going on in Washington this week...

Swinging in my new swing for the first time, and lovin' it....

Building a fire with the sun and a magnifying glass with Dad...

Mommy having some extra time to model Evan in his bathrobe...

Eating pancakes and sausage with our cousins...

Watching the girls perform for Ben...

Playing in the dome...

Watching Evan as he tries to figure out his new baby jail...

The Pickle Experiment

The kids and Sean have been waiting to do this pickle experiment for awhile and last night, they finally got it done. The things they come up with....of course, Sean is just a big kid too (as you will see from the pictures)! First off, the pickle...

Next, the troops getting ready to see if it is going to explode (YIKES!) or glow...

Now, to connect with power...(at least that $30 helmet is useful for something)!

The smoking pickle...

And the glowing pickle....

We had to do it again after the sun went down a bit to actually see the pickle glowing....interesting, huh?

My Coupon Binder and Stuff

Many people have been asking me how I organize all my coupons. It has been a process, but I have found that keeping all my coupons in a binder inside of baseball card holders works nicely. It takes a little more time organizing after I cut the coupons, but it is so fast to look for a coupon now, instead of sifting through an entire category stack each time I'm looking for a particular coupon.

I have color coded inserts inbetween each category that I can stick special coupons in if I know I will be using them soon. I think my new binder looks much nicer than the older one.

Meijer has some fantastic deals this week. I got Chex Mix, Bagel Bites, Land O Lakes butter, frozen veggies, and baby soap for FREE. My favorite find of the week though, has to be the Fruit Chillers for .49 cents each! Yay...these will be awesome for this summer and another positive....you don't have to store them in the freezer until right before you want to eat them! These will be good for the hot baseball games coming soon!

When I dropped the kid's off at school this morning, I thought I would take a picture of the girls walking to the building. I have a picture of Justin running into the school when he was in kindergarten or first grade and I love it! I caught him in mid air! The girls weren't running, but they were holding hands, which is very unusual for them. What a sweet memory this will be for them one day!

And yesterday, when I went into Evan's room to get him up, this is what I found!!

He was quite proud of himself too!

Before I sign off for the day, I wanted to leave you with a picture of my stack of coupons that I used at Meijer this week. They has so many good sales....it was incredible....I saved between 75% and 85%!! If you are wondering why I can't give you an exact number....well...my order froze the computer, so they couldn't give me my original receipt with all my savings numbers on it. But hey, at least we didn't have to ring it all up again and scan all the coupons twice. I'm thinking that would have been a nightmare. And this is for the record, that the people at Meijer are awesome!! They treated me like a queen and got everything figured out quickly. I LOVE Meijer...I just hope they love me too!

Now, that's a lot of trees!

Enjoying scrambled eggs and cinnamon rolls..."mmm" he says...

Playing with Caleb after dinner...

Evan has really started to "get around" the last few weeks. I think he may be crawling in just a few days...."HELP"!!

I decided to spare you the details of all my fabulous finds this week, but I'll be sure to share next week! Have a great weekend!

Friday Finds

Evan and I found some time to do some bargain shopping after his Dr. appointment today. We decided to stop in three places.

MEIJER: $1.45 for 5 boxes!!

TARGET: All this for $8.25, plus I have a $5.00 rebate, so $3.25 plus the cost of a stamp...not bad!

And....the best goldmine of the week.....

We were in Walgreen picking up some Huggie diapers for Evan, and look what I found right next to them??

Jumbo pack of Walgreens diapers size 1 and 2.....) ONLY $2.19 a pack!! Can you say...YIPEE?!?! Evan is out of these diapers, but these make great baby shower gifts, so I was VERY HAPPY!! I even had my mom scout some down in Logansport....thanks, Mom!!

These are my Friday Finds....and it was a very good day! The girls love going shopping with me because, I'm telling you, they ALWAYS find money on the ground!! Today I was so proud of them. They found a nickel and donated it to the Muscular Dystrophy can by the register. They were gleaming from ear to ear. That was the icing on the cake!

Have a great weekend.....and let me know if you are curious about how I did these deals. In a nutshell, I use a lot of printables from the Hip2Save website, but I would be more than happy to talk you through what I did. Cheers!! -

Maybe He Will Play the Piano

**Please note.....some pictures will only load sideways, but I think you will get the picture ;)

Evan tried his hand at playing the piano last night. I have to say that he had a lot of fun and it kept him busy for awhile.

Here are some of the deals I have scored this week at our local Meijer. I love Meijer and here are some of the reasons why...

These boxes of cereal were 50 cents and 1.10 cents each!! The All Bran was more....but it was on sale for $3.50, so I'll take $1.10 anyday! Of course, I got more than then just these two boxes. Many only cost 75 cents a box. It was so easy....all I used was printable coupons for $1 off each box and Meijer was giving you $5 instantly at the register when you buy 5.....$2-$5ish for 5 boxes of cereal.....CRAZY!!

Then I had this really cool coupon for free Oreos when you buy a milk and a cookie. I got two cookies and a milk for $3.79....not bad, especially for Cakesters!

Mac n' Cheese was only 25 cents a box with my printable coupons...yay...

And Kleenex was $2.50 for 6 boxes after coupons and Kleenex catalinas!! Stock up time is now!!

I also found some good deals at other places too...
Lunchables for 25 cents at Payless....

and Goldfish for only 25 cents a bag too!!

I got these deals at Kroger and Walgreens this week. The Blistex was 30 cents and the Tylenol was 99 cents. I was able to get 4 of each.

I have always been a coupon user, but now I think I am an addict now that I have been introduced to printable coupons!! And if you don't live near a Meijer, you need to move...NOW!! And....don't ever lose your coupon envelope....talk about HORROR!! We had not been Meijer long, so I found it - on the floor....yay! I will show you in a later post why I wanted to find that envelope!
