OUCH!!

Whew!!! It has been crazy around here. I am just not finding the time to post on my blog like I was hoping to this summer, but I do have a few interesting updates tonight.

Caleb went to the oral surgeon to get four teeth pulled yesterday and from the picture below, you will see that he ended up losing six! The orthodontist needed the four big molars to come out. They were fusing themselves to the bone which isn't a good thing and this was also not allowing the permanent teeth to come in properly. Anyway, he pulled those four and then pulled two more that were very loose anyway. He is doing fine today. Actually, you wouldn't even know he had that many teeth pulled yesterday, so this is a good thing!

I'm also pretty excited about this deal at CVS this week. I'll let the pictures tell the story...

Now it's off to the shower. Sean and I did a little jumping on the trampoline tonight while the kids were occupied inside. We had a lot of fun, but I'll have to say that the neighbors probably thought we were nuts! Sorry, no pics to post for that event! Have a great evening!

Good Deals

So, I'm at it again....that is, out shopping for my bargains....and this is a good week! I know some of you read my blog to see the great deals that I snatch, so I thought I would share a few with you. My favorite of the week is this deal right here...

I spent just over $10 for these body washes that my boys love and I received $18 in catalinas. So, I made $8 just for purchasing these items. It's great when I get FREE items, but when I make money, it's even better!

Another good deal was at Meijer. You all know how I love to shop at Meijer. I bought these...

for only 56 cents! Oh, and they are healthy pastas too...Whole Grain!

Well, that's it for tonight. We are planning on going to the movies this weekend to see Toy Story 3 and I have to print off our FREE tickets. We hardly ever go to the movies, so this will be a treat! Signing off for now...take care!

What We're Doin Now

I keep thinking that I will have more time to post now that we are well into summer break, but it just isn't happening! We are not running around as much, but it seems like we have just about every moment filled with some type of activity in the summer. I will do the best I can to keep you updated.

This week we got to do something a little different. A friend invited us out to ride a pony (actually, the girls were invited, but we all went along). They thought that was a lot of fun and definitely not something they get to do every day!

We also found a baby jogger at a garage sale on Friday! I have been looking for one of these for a while and my patience paid off! Evan loves sitting in it and he spent a good portion of the evening in it while we planted the garden.

Also, during dinner last night, Emma exclaimed that she lost her tooth! Priceless!

Other than that, we still have about two weeks of baseball games and Caleb just started a six week group violin program at Lafayette Jeff. Of course, we spend a lot of time in the pool, but I don't have a lot of pictures since I have to keep an eye on Evan.

Today we are going to do some bowling, trampoline jumping, and some lazer tagging with Sean's company and tomorrow is a church ABF picnic....WHEW...no complaints of boredom here!! Until next time!

Happy Birthday Evan

Evan's birthday was yesterday and it is hard to believe that a year has gone by so quickly! Evan has really been my buddy this year. He has traveled many miles in the van taking the big kids back and forth to school, has attended all their activities, and has been my side kick at PMO. We celebrated on Sunday with extended family and friends and had a great time...

Let me begin my mentioning that we LOVE cake at our house, so we had lots of them. First, the big birthday cake...(sorry it's sideways...I can't get it to turn around).

The next cake was made for our family celebration last night...

This was Evan's cake for him to eat. As you will see from the pictures to come, he did a fine job...

We also enjoyed chocolate monkey cupcakes with peanut butter ...

And no monkey party would be complete without a chunky monkey cake with bananas and chocolate chips...

Sean had fun making celery monkeys...and they were a hit!

No party is complete without decorations...

Or the birthday boy, himself...he's not real exited about the hat!

We made sure Aunt Mary could be at the party by Skyping her there...

Evan LOVED his cake...

Then we had to get a bath in the utility tub...

And off to the backyard to open gifts so all the kids could see as they swam in the pool. It was a HOT day, but a perfect day for a birthday party!

Here is a picture of the birthday boy on his actual birthday, yesterday...

By the time we got home from all the ballgames, Evan was worn out, so the family party was a little interesting. Again, he did not care for his hat, but after a little cake and some time on Mommy's lap, he enjoyed opening up his Baby Einstein videos and playing with the kids.

So there you have it...the first of five birthdays this month. What a joy and blessing Evan has been to us and it was so much fun celebrating his birth with family and friends. Stay tuned for more birthday fun from our house this month!
