Pure Randomness

Today I thought I would post some random pictures from the last couple of days. We have sort of been thrown into a schedule with VBS for the big kids and it has been good to get up and get movin' earlier in the day. There is something about getting up in the morning that makes me feel good....I'm not sure what it is, but I know one thing...I'm getting a lot done on the homefront.

A few days ago we went "Back-to-School" shopping. Here are most of the Back-to-School supplies needed to send four kids on their merry way. We couldn't find a few things like a "Trapper Keeper" and a black felt tip pen, but like I said, this is most of the supplies. By the way, does anyone know where to find a Trapper Keeper, or if they even make them anymore? It's required on his school list...YIKES!

And here are the kids waiting patiently in line to fill up their bags...

My Purdue cheerleaders...

Nena and Poppy with Evan...

Mom talking to Aunt Mary using Skype...this was really cool!

Evan taking a bath...his favorite part of the day...

Watching the ducks above his swing...

Thanks, Dr. Wickert

Yesterday I had my last baby visit with Dr. Wickert. We took Evan so Dr. Wickert could meet him. My appointment went well and I'm really excited that I can start exercising now! Yipee! We took a few pictures to put in Evan's baby book and I wanted to share them.

Thank you for the wonderful care and helping to make sure that my pregnancy and Evan's birth was a good experience. We couldn't have asked for a better doctor.

Thanks, Dr. Wickert!

Alabama Pictures and What We Are Up To Today

Here are some final pictures from our trip in Alabama. These are pictures of Evan's second swim in Aunt Mary's pool. He really enjoys the water as you will be able to tell from the pictures.

In his float from Aunt Mary...

Here is a picture of Evan after we got off the phone with Aunt Mary today. He was full of smiles and is still talking to the animals on his bouncy seat. I can imagine that nap time is right around the corner...if you know what I mean.

We are looking forward to seeing Poppy and Nena tomorrow. I have a Dr. appointment and then we are going to do some fun stuff. Can't wait!

Oh, and I just have to show you this bruise I got from falling over the garden fence. Yikes! This baby hurt. I guess I really need to be more careful.

Yikes! This is A Big One!

When we got home from vacation, this is what the garden looked like. It had grown A LOT while we were gone...

The green peppers were almost as big as Evan's head...

We had several large vegetables, but this zucchini took home the blue ribbon...

It's as big as the baby!

Waffles, Gravy, Shopping, and First Swim

Yesterday was waffle morning at Aunt Mary's house. I love that she cooks in these old fashioned pans. The kids are a big fan...

Here is a picture of Evan. He is getting so big right before our eyes...

My cousin, Joel, came over to eat with us and we put him in charge of the gravy...

Erin has really turned into a Taco Casa fan...

And Uncle Frank was in charge of Evan at Wal-Mart...

When we got home, Evan and mommy decided that we should get to have some fun too, so we went for a swim...Evan's first...

Shades from Nena...

My Aunt Mary and I walked everyday...

And tonight we jumped in the pool after our walk to play with the kids...

Here's a picture of the kids with Aunt Mary...

I would love to post more, but Evan needs a bath and he's screaming, so until next time...

Little Tid Bits From Alabama

Here are some pictures from our time in Alabama. I have had extra time to post since Evan is rooming in with Sean and me (he cries himself to sleep....and has been doing quite a bit of that lately). We really can't blame him since we have shuffled him around like a gym bag. Once he is asleep, he has done a pretty good job at staying asleep and not keeping us up a lot during the night. This is good.

I wanted to post some pictures of our trip while I have the chance. Once I get home, it probably won't happen, so here we go.

Let's start with this cool flag we saw at Logan's Roadhouse...

Sean is in the van for two reasons...one is to measure the distance of the circle drive 10 times so we know how far we are walking each day. The answer is 1.3 miles and it was a lot of fun watching him ride around and around...

The second reason he is in the van is to help Evan fall asleep....he had a rough morning and we wanted to see if he would fall asleep in the van....and yes he did...and woke up after 10 minutes once he was back in the house...Oh, well...

Swimming in Aunt Mary's pool...

One of the two best foods in Alabama...BBQ pork...this is the best! Bringing some of this baby home...

Taco Casa is the second. We have eaten Taco Casa three times this week. I'm hoping for a fourth time before we go home....YUM, YUM, YUM!

Evan, happy and cheerful as always....NOT!!

My cousin, Sandra, still a kid at heart. She's gonna kill me!

Daddy and Evan just plain tuckered out...

Swimming in my cousin's pool...

Eating out...

My cousin, Calvin, and me...(notice the flag in the backgound...GO BAMA).

Uncle Frank, Aunt Mary, and me...

Working on the computer that my entire family bought them for their 50th anniversary...

Erin holding her new pet, a tomato worm....or can I say, a VERY LARGE tomato worm...gross!!

The cable man had to climb to the top of the pole to put in a new filter for the internet connection...

My cousin, Sandra, holding Evan...

The entire gang that traveled down to celebrate....

Opening anniversary gifts...

Aunt Mary rocking Evan to sleep....good luck with that!!

My cousin, Joel, and Evan...

This is all for now... I think the baby is asleep which means it's time for bed. Good night.
