Butterflies, Kicking, or Gas...Oh my!!

Today marks week 17 of Baby Beimfohr's little life. Just in the last few days, I have caught myself wondering if I feel the baby moving, or....um....other natural disasters taking place within my ever changing body. It's amazing what a mind can forget in 6 years! We hope you had a Merry Christmas with your families. I will post more tomorrow.

Happy Birthday to My Honey

Yesterday we celebrated Sean's 37th birthday at Logan's Roadhouse. The kids had never been there and we went on the "special" night. We all ate and were stuffed (did I mention we brought home food too?)for under $30 and that included the tip!

The kids thoroughly enjoyed watching the "man" cook on the grill...

Emma was facinated with the juke box...

No evening is complete without a group picture. I opted to take the picture and not be in it. I'm fighting a bad cold and didn't feel or look the greatest!

On another note, today we heard the baby's heartbeat at our Dr. appointment. Everything is going great and we look forward to the ultrasound on January 20th to find out if I need to start buying BOY or GIRL clothes. We can't wait!

Merry Christmas!

Girls and Dresses

Emma and Erin love to dress up in pretty dresses, so Mommy broke down and bought them some new Christmas dresses this year. They were able to dress up for the Purdue Christmas Show and for church at Poppy and Nena's church as well as for the Christmas program at our church.

Here is a family picture from the Purdue Christmas Show last weekend. Everyone had a fabulous time!

My best friend and her family also came with a little Christmas spirit!

Yesterday was Sean's birthday so later on I will be posting some pictures of his special day (we are celebrating tonight).

Fun, Food, and PMO of course!

Today we all trucked over to Purdue to enjoy a wonderful carry in lunch provided by all the staff at PMO. We had chili with all the fixins, meatballs, stuffing, cream cheese corn, sandwiches, pie, brownies, cookies....the list goes on and on. We had a great time just hanging out, talking, and well, stuffing our faces. All the PMO kids had a great time too!

It was fun to be able to have some time with the staff without all the hustle and bustle that this time of year brings for all of us at PMO.

Gotcha Jon! You're such a good sport!

This picture says it all...love ya, Jayne!

Now, my questions is.....When can we do it again?

Playing for the President

Shaker Chime Ensemble with the President and First Gentleman

The Purdue Bells Shaker Chime group was recently invited by the President of Purdue to play at her home for a special Purdue-IU trustee dinner. This was a huge opportunity so I just had to post something about our evening at Westwood. I think I was just as excited as the students and we all had a wonderful time entertaining these special guests. Here are a few pictures from the evening...

Baby Beimfohr on the Way!

Well, the last several weeks have been very interesting for us. We found out about seven weeks ago that we are expecting another addition(s) to the family. Well, today is the day we have been waiting for. This morning was the doctor visit to confirm that, yes indeed, there is a viable pregnancy going on (I kinda figured this out on my own because I have felt so icky) and to see exactly how many little buggers there are. So here's the news you've been waiting for....

We are happy to announce that we will be having ONE little Beimfohr join our family sometime in late May or early June. The due date is June 7th, so we'll see if we make it to at least that month. Sean wants to see if we can continue the tradition of the "all June" birthdays we have have going on. I say, who cares, because if that were to happen, this little babe will be inside of me longer than any of my other children....and, I'm not too good at making it to the end. :) Only time will tell!!

Please pray for a healthy baby. The ultrasound was fun to watch today as Baby #5 squirmed and moved around, kicking and flailing his/her arms and feet. Currently the boys want a boy and the girls want a girl.....I hate to tell them that someone is going to have to lose gracefully!

I'll keep the blog updated more frequently as I start to feel better. Until next time...

Symphony and Star Wars

A couple of weeks ago, we took some friends to the symphony. It was a special symphony featuring the music of John Williams. What we thought would be a great night of music turned out to be even better. Check out the pictures from our evening. This picture is of my best friend and her family...

The kids...

The men and the boys...

What a great night of fun!

What a Great Day!

Yesterday was my birthday, and boy was I spoiled! First, I was able to take the day off and sleep in with my kids. The boys are on fall break, so it was nice being able to spend time with them.

At noon, my best friend came over for lunch and to just chill out....which we did very nicely. She also brought me a birthday cake, because everyone knows that moms don't always get a cake for their birthday. This was a nice surprise! Thanks Leanna.

In the afternoon, I went in for bell rehearsal at Purdue to find a "surprise party" complete with decorations, a card, and two cakes! Thanks guys!

We finished out the evening by taking the kids to Chuckie Cheese. My dad and mom met us there, so that was fun too. I bought a pair of shoes that I have been wanting for a LONG time and my kids gave me this present...

Did I mention that I married a very creative man? He always comes up with something so funny or special. I wouldn't trade you for anything!!

PS - I also opened Season 7 of Little House on the Prairie....my absolutely most favorite television show ever!

Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes and cards! I had a great day!

Picture Day!

This morning was perfect weather for pictures. I went the easy route with Justin and Caleb and ordered school pictures this year, but the girls have so many cute outfits, I just couldn't resist taking them again this year. We only had one crying episode from Emma, and Erin didn't think she could smile by the end, but we made it through with flying colors! Here are my favorites from the morning. If you have any favorites let me know. I will be ordering pictures soon! Please note that these have not been cropped yet. They are fresh from the camera.
