Purdue Homecoming 2009

Today we went to Purdue's Homecoming. The day started off early with the Shaker Chimes playing on the President's Council Stage. That was pretty neat to be able to play in this venue. The students did a great job, too, which made it even better...

Then it was time for "Magic with Blake". Blake is in the Glee Club, so my kids know him well. Justin was the lucky audience member that was chosen to help Blake today. He doesn't look thrilled, but he was....you have to remember that he is now a cool 5th grader...

Another day of firsts, we all got a close up look at the Purdue Marching Band, Gold Dusters, and Twirlers. Erin has decided that she now wants to be a kindergarten teacher and a Purdue twirler when she grows up. We'll just see what we can do about that! I have to admit, they are pretty cool to watch...

Evan went along with us to all the festivities. He was a good baby and I think he was warmer than all of us! He enjoyed listening to the music and watching all the activity. He even posed in a picture with me!

Last night we were part of the Homecoming Parade. Sean had to work all evening, so I had all the kiddos with me. I hope to be able to post some pictures from this event tomorrow during loads of laundry...yes loads of laundry is what I'll be doing since I will be home with Caleb. He is sick...YUK! We are hopeful that it is just a little flu bug and nothing too serious. Time will tell! Have a good night everyone and stay well!
